Second trip to Nashville.

This last weekend, Dr. Kumagai and I went to Nashville. I was there last weekend with Jamie, but we were only in town a few hours, and didn’t really get a good look. We started off the trip by visiting the Grand Ole’ Opry, and the Opryland Hotel. The hotel was incredible, with an indoor river and little shopping center. It really seemed like a vegas hotel, or some sort of resort. After that we went to downtown Nashville, and walked around a while. We visited the Charlie Daniels Museum, the Sun Records store, and finished up with dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack.

A weekend in Florida

To finish off Jamie’s week here, I surprised her with a trip to Desin,Fl. It was about a seven hour drive from the very top of Alabam, to the gulf coast of florida. Along the way, we must have past a 100 Waffle Houses, Cracker Barrels, and Shoney’s.

Once we got to Destin, we checked in and had dinner at the Harbor Docks restauraunt, then went back to the beach. It was an awesome beach with white sand, and warm water. On the way home we stopped at a Waffle House in Destin and had breakfast, which was a lot of fun. For dinner Sunday night we went to a Japanese Restaurant called Mikawa with Dr. Kumagai. It was a really good week.

Space Museum and Nashville

This last week Jamie visited me here in Huntsville. Luckily, she got to go with me on a tour of the space center, which included some of the test facilities.

Friday, we went to the space museum, then took a trip to Nashville for dinner. In Nashville, we parked right in front of the Grand Ole Opry, and went to the Opry Mills mall, which was HUGE. After we ate, we played Glow golf, and then fed stringrays….all of which was inside the mall. After all of that, we took a stroll around the Grand Ole Opry and drove home.
